Sometimes, we receive files or download email attachments in a compressed format. By compressed, it means that it could be one or more files packed up into a single file to save memory space and for faster file uploading and downloading. Here's how you can extract zipped or archive files in Windows 7. If I'm right, this quick process also works with Windows XP. I can't be sure though. It's been a while since I've had my hands on an XP-operated system.

Yesterday, one of our Facebook page friends had a problem with her mouse not working on a Windows 7 OS. Here are bits of the conversation and how her problem was solved (restored the original mouse settings). (Note: I'm not really well-versed when it comes to translation. I'll omit some phrases/sentences as well to make the process understandable.)

Here's last weeks quick tips compilation:
When transferring several blocks of text or files, it's easier to use keyboard shortcuts than right-clicks on the mouse. Select the file (or highlight the text) to be transferred and press Ctrl+C (press Ctrl first, then only release it after pressing C) to copy or Ctrl+X to cut, then press Ctrl+V on the target destination to paste.

Howdy, tips-n-tuters! It had been a busy week for me so I wasn't able to post new stuff here. That aside, I'll start things off with an absurd salesman talk:
Are you sick of your boring media player? Windows Media Player? LOOOOOL, that is so 90's. Why not give Winamp a shot. No, a big shot!
What is Winamp?I'm not so good with words so I'll just quote something from Wikipedia.com:

"Calling all Boobies, breasts and bosums, it’s time we got personal." - CoppaFeelSeriously.
Posting this might probably cause a fraction of the crowd to think of me as some kind of a creeper. No, I wasn’t googling for boobs, or anything soft, warm and cuddly. I was studying about infographics (sounding defensively, it's work-related - I study the internet for a living) and stumbled upon this random site.

It's around 1:00am, or sometime slightly past midnight. I was with a band of individuals whose faces I knew I've seen before. I just fail to recognize them by names.
We were walking pass a blindingly dark alley. Suddenly, a horde of dogs started chasing us. My companions were able to outrun them...and me. I drained out of vitality, of luck. One dog jumped straight up and landed on me. That one vicious bite sent me to a panic. I woke up.

As promised, here are more pictures from the last Sinulog parade. I decided to add a few "changes" to the regular shots. Again, original photos from JML.

Last June, I decided to go hiking with my father at his hometown, Catmon. I honestly don't know much about the locality. I've only gone there for like 15 instances in my whole life, about 10 of which I can barely recall. Here’s an informative snippet from Wikipedia.org:
"Catmon is a 5th class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 27,330 people. It is located 57 kilometers from the Cebu City next to the town of Carmen. The Municipality of Catmon is 57.4 km north from Cebu City. It is situated along the sea coast. Bounded on the north by the Municipality of Sogod; on the South by the Municipality of Carmen; on the West by the Municipality of Tuburan; and on the East by Camotes sea. Topography: The Municipality of Catmon is generally mountainous and hilly and patches of flat lands can be found along the coastline and portion of the poblacion."

If you've spent a good deal of your childhood here in Cebu, mainly in Cebu City, you’ve most likely been to the Basilica of Santo Niño, or plainly Sto. Niño (like the way we use to tell the jeepney driver where to drop us off). If you’re a non-Catholic, you’ve probably still by any chance passed by the Basilica while commuting. And of course, the grand Sinulog celebration have always revolved around the Santo Niño.

I don't really have much to say about this place as I haven't gone there at all. I just thought of sharing these great shots by my friend JML, taken during his stay there.
Nonetheless, here's a snippet from Agoda.com about the resort:
"Situated in lush tropical gardens and surrounded by crystal blue water, Crimson Resort and Spa is located in Lapu Lapu, one of the country’s most popular holiday destinations. This beachfront property is located 15-minute away from Cebu’s Mactan International Airport. The resort features spacious guestrooms and suites, decorated with contemporary Filipino furnishings. Crimson Resort and Spa is an ideal place to stay for vacationers."Should feel pretty much like seventh heaven to be there, wouldn't it? Well, here are some breathtaking views.

My mindset's a bit staggered on how to start this off so I suppose I'll just cram all the images in here. Before anything else though, credits go to my good friend JML who granted me authority to copy-paste all these pictures from the albums of his Facebook account. (These were fantastic shots, bay!)
If my memory still serves me right, these were from the Sinulog Festival 2011 31st Grand Parade (January 16, that one damp Sunday). The downpour however didn’t stop the influx of people from different places to partake in the festivity at the Queen City of the South. “Ingon sila grasya daw na kung mag-ulan basta Sinulog (They say it’s a good omen when it rains on the day of the Sinulog celebration),” some people might say.
How about telling that to those who had henna tattoo and then got soaked in the drizzle afterwards. Poof! Abstract art. Nah, just kidding!

Cutting to the chase, I present to you the beautiful Cebuanas.
